Bookings

 

All bookings should be made through our office.

We require a £10 deposit for each kayak when booking to secure the required hire date. Please note the deposit is non-refundable, unless cancelled 48 hours before scheduled booking (see Cancellation Policy below).

 

All bookings will be treated as provisional until the deposit has been received. This can be paid by cash, BACS or PayPal. NBKH will send the booking form via email with payment information included.

Hiring Equipment

 

All hires include Buoyancy aid, helmet, paddle & leash ,6ltr dry bag and a phone case. We do also have a selection of  wet suits available to hire also but these are limited to availability from £5 each.

 

Please give us a call to discuss any special requirements, we aim to make our kayaks available to everyone aged 10+.

 

Please note that for every group hire, the designated adult MUST provide photographic identification (Passport or drivers licence). This will be retained as proof of identify and as security deposit until all of our equipment has been safely returned.

Please note, no photographic identification NO HIRE!

 

We also require that at least one member of the group takes a mobile phone out on the water with the group. NBKH will provide a dry bag to take out on the water so that you have a means of contact incase of an emergency.

 

North Berwick kayak Hire Ltd reserve the right to charge for late returns of our equipment, at our standard hourly rate.

 

What to Bring

 

  • A dry change of clothes and a towel for each person going into the water.

  • Swim wear

  • Enough food and drink for the duration off your trip while on the water. There are several fantastic places for food in and around North Berwick  to refuel you before or after your trip.

  • Sun block for those sunny days.

  • Footwear you do not mind getting wet for getting down to the beach and out on the water.

  • Layers of clothing, better to have more than not enough. A fleece and a jacket on cooler days. NBKH will provide a dry bag for your trip.

  • A friend or family member to share your experience with while exploring our fabulous coastline.

  • Preparation is key so that you can get the most out of your day.

  •  A sense of adventure.
